Donald Douglas Reed

Donald D. Reed, 73 of Temperance, MI died February 4, 2020. Born July 25, 1946 to Donald L. and Corinne (Griffiths) Reed. In 1961 he attained the highest level in the Boy Scouts as an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Sylvania High School in 1964. He married Janet L. Curtis on June 22, 1968 and two weeks later was deployed to Vietnam. Upon returning from Vietnam he returned to college at the University of Toledo and graduated with a business degree. His work career was spent in car and commercial truck sales with most of his career with Brondes Ford. He was a member of the Monroe County VVA and a past president. He enjoyed annually traveling to his 11th Armored Cavalry reunions, fishing, traveling the US, Nascar and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jeaneen Reed.
He is survived by his wife, Janet, son Cale, daughter, Melinda (Mike)Watson, granddaughters, Lydia, Skylar and Nora; sister Kathy (Jim) Whited, brother Brad (Liz) Reed; and sisters Jeanelle and Kim Reed.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 15 at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road. (at Jackman), Temperance, MI from noon to 3 p.m. with a memorial service at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
